Lithium ferromanganese phosphate, as one of the most important improvement directions of lithium ferric phosphate, is expected to be the first to wait for industrial application. A few days ago, at the opening ceremony of Tesla's Berlin super factory, Musk said that Tesla is currently developing more materials to make batteries and now sees the chemical potential of manganese-based cathode batteries.

Compared with lithium iron phosphate, the biggest advantage of lithium manganese iron phosphate is that the voltage platform can be increased from 3.4V to 4.1V, which can increase the battery energy density by about 15%; second, it can be mixed with ternary materials to reduce the cost. Third, there is no need to make major changes to the production line, which is conducive to mass production and cost reduction. Analysts point out that thanks to the rapid growth of shipments of ternary cathode materials and lithium manganate materials, the amount of manganese used in lithium cathode materials is expected to exceed 300000 tons in 2025, and CAGR will be 32% in 2021-2025. With the increase of the permeability of the new manganese-based cathode materials, the amount of manganese used in lithium batteries is expected to surge to more than 1.3 million tons by 2035, more than 10 times that in 2021, but the dominant position of manganese used in iron and steel is difficult to change. the "dual pattern" of the manganese industry makes it easy to have a structural shortage of manganese raw materials for batteries.

The asset delivery for this project was completed in May 2024. Based on a comprehensive evaluation conducted by Kunyuan Asset Appraisal Co., Ltd., the total value of the project's assets is approximately 1.076 billion yuan. As of now, Wanrun New Energy has paid 360 million yuan in repurchase investment, with an outstanding balance of approximately 716 million yuan.
