"Wei Xiao Na" becomes "Xiao Na Li" the new force of car building changes the ranking of delivery in October.

On November 1st six of the new car-building brands released October delivery data. On the whole, the delivery volume of the new power changed again in October, of which Xiaopeng ranked first in delivery volume for the first time since the beginning of this year, Nahu car delivery leapt to the second place, and Weimar delivery remained stable at about 5000 vehicles for two months in a row. While delivery in October dropped sharply from the previous month, it "met" with zero running at about 3600 vehicles.

Judging from the trend of new power delivery, starting from the third quarter of this year, problems such as chip shortage have caused fluctuations in the delivery ranking of new forces, and in the fourth quarter, some new forces have been affected by factors such as factory production line transformation and power limitations. the trend of new power delivery ranking in the fourth quarter has not stabilized as it did in the first half of the year, but there have been fluctuations that are difficult to predict.

"Wei Xiao Na" becomes "Xiao Na Li".

In the context of supply chain shortages such as chips, the October delivery performance of Wei Xiaoli, a new force in the head, has changed again. On November 1, Xiaopeng Motor took the lead in announcing the delivery volume. Data show that while overcoming the challenges of chip supply in the industry, Xiaopeng Motor has delivered more than 10,000 vehicles for two consecutive months, with a total delivery volume of 10138 vehicles in October, a year-on-year increase of 23.3%. With the advantage of the only delivery of tens of thousands of new forces in that month, Xiaopeng Motor ranked first on the list of new power delivery in October.

Specific to the model, the Xiaopeng P7 delivered 6044 units in October, an increase of 187% over the same period last year. G3i, the medium-term modified model of the Bing G3, has risen all the way since its launch in September this year, with the delivery of 3657 G3 series products that month, the best monthly delivery of this model since its launch in 2018. The third mass-produced model, Xiaopeng P5, which went on sale on September 15, also delivered 437 vehicles in October.

The ideal car, with only one model on sale and delivery that has been wrestling with Xiaopeng, increased 7.8 per cent month-on-month to 7649 units in October, an increase of 107.2 per cent over the same period last year. However, this delivery volume was achieved under the shortage of millimeter wave radar supply. Shen Yanan, co-founder and president of ideal Automobile, said that ideal is working fully with suppliers to restore the supply of millimeter wave radar.

In contrast to the trend of Xiaopeng and ideal October, delivery in October dropped sharply to 3667 vehicles from the previous month. In addition, the delivery data of specific models were not disclosed. However, according to official sources, demand for orders in October remained strong, and the month-on-month decline in delivery was mainly affected by the upgrading of factory production lines. From the end of September to the middle of October this year, the production line of Jianghuai Wei came to Hefei manufacturing base for a phased upgrade, and production has been gradually resumed since late October. From this point of view, November Wei to deliver a sharp rebound is more likely.

Some analysts believe that the transformation of the production line may be related to the mass production and delivery of ET7 models. Qin Lihong, co-founder of Xilai Automobile, said recently that one of the purposes of the production line transformation is to be compatible with ET7 to launch on time. According to the plan, ET7 will be delivered in the first quarter of next year.

Due to the sharp drop in delivery volume in October, zero run "met" with delivery volume in that month. A total of 3654 vehicles were delivered in October, down 10.8 per cent from the previous month and a year-on-year increase of 256 per cent. For the first time, Zero disclosed the reasons for the month-on-month drop in delivery in October, saying it was mainly due to the shortage of chips in the industry and the impact of industrial power cuts on the capacity of some supply chains.

In the second echelon of new power delivery, Weima also released delivery data. Weima delivered a total of 5025 vehicles in October, an increase of 67.3% over the same period last year, and has delivered about 5000 vehicles for two months in a row. From January to October this year, Weima has delivered a total of 34068 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 101.7 per cent.

In addition, in the second echelon, there is also need to pay attention to the car, with the delivery volume of 8107 vehicles in October, which has continuously entered the first echelon of the new power, and it is also the only brand with continuous growth in monthly delivery among the new forces so far this year. It is reported that on November 3, the new car model Naxi V Pro will be officially put on the market. The car is a derivative of Nashi V, and the price may be set at 70, 000 yuan. The launch of the new car may contribute to a further increase in delivery volume in Nezha in the fourth quarter.

The new power has many orders, but it is difficult to deliver.

"the 'blowout' intelligent new energy market, the ubiquitous supply chain and other pressures, the hard-won 'continuous sales of more than 10,000', not in it, it is difficult to understand the taste. On November 1, Li Pengcheng, vice president of Xiaopeng Automobile, spoke with emotion on the social platform that the new power brand is facing difficulties.

At the same time when the new power announces the delivery volume, it is not difficult to note that the new power brand has the dilemma of a large number of orders but difficult delivery. Specifically, although there are not many deliveries in October, Xilai said that the demand for orders in October is still strong; ideal cars added more than 14500 orders in October, but only more than 7000 vehicles were delivered in the month of millimeter wave radar supply; Xiaopeng's newly launched P5 model responded enthusiastically in the market, officials said that P5 orders were abundant; Naha car U Pro orders were relatively hot, with more than 5000 orders in October. Total orders for zero-running cars exceeded 12000 in October with the T03 and C11 models, but only about 3600 were delivered that month.

The reason is that supply chain shortages such as chips and millimeter wave radar are still affecting the normal delivery of new powers. in addition, production capacity and power constraints also affect production to a certain extent. Both Ulai and Zero were limited by production capacity in October, but for now, both brands have completed production line upgrades in October, with Zero Motor Chairman Zhu Jiangming saying on the social platform that Zero has completed factory capacity enhancement in October and will have a delivery peak in November.

What is more difficult than increasing one's own production capacity is the supply chain problem of the new power. At present, the shortage of supply chains such as chips has become a common problem for the global automobile industry. According to AFS data, as of October 31, due to the shortage of chips, the global automobile market has reduced production by 9.803 million vehicles, and the Chinese automobile market has reduced production by 1.863 million vehicles. Not only that, it is generally believed in the industry that the shortage of chips will continue until next year.

It is understood that the related models of ideal and Xiaopeng use Bosch millimeter wave radar, but due to the influence of Bosch upstream semiconductor supply chain, shipments of millimeter wave radar and other parts have been affected. Shen Hui, founder of Weima Automobile, also said earlier that because of the influence of semiconductors in the Malaysian factory, Weima could not get goods from Bosch and had been running out of inventory.

In the case of shortage, ideal and Xiaopeng have launched a new delivery program of "first delivery and then reloading radar" to users, in which the ideal expects to carry out free reloading for users from December this year to the Spring Festival next year. Xiaopeng cars are expected to be reinstalled in batches from March 31 next year. From this, we can also judge the degree to which the two brands have a grasp of the supply of millimeter wave radar. It is not easy to speculate whether there are other new power brands to follow the new delivery plan in the future, but if the lack of core can not be effectively alleviated in a short time, the new delivery plan is not undesirable.

On the whole, with the orders on hand, the market performance of the new power is still showing a good trend, but in the face of the pressure of the supply chain, each brand presents different performance, and in terms of the overall strength of the brand, it also depends on the "long-distance run".

Chile's Water Crisis Threatens Atacama's Copper and Lithium Mining Amid 14-Year Drought
Chile’s most pressing crisis at present is the issue of water resources. The Atacama Desert in Chile is one of the driest regions in the world and also the core area for copper and lithium ore extraction. The local area has experienced a drought for as long as 14 years, and reservoir storage has fallen to only about 30%. For miners, water resources are not a secondary issue, but an indispensable key production factor in such processes as ore processing, dust suppression, and equipment cooling. The decline in ore grade has further exacerbated the predicament

Trump Adjusts Metal Tariffs, Applies 50% Rate to Consumer Prices Under Section 232, Details Unclear
US President Trump adjusted the national security tariffs on imports of steel, aluminum, and copper, lowering the tariff rates on derivative products made from these metals, streamlining compliance procedures, and preventing the declared value of imports from being understated.A senior Trump administration official said that, under a proclamation signed by Trump, the US would continue to maintain a 50% import tariff on imports of metal commodities such as steel, aluminum, and copper pursuant to Section 232 of the Trade Act of 1974, but would apply this rate to the price paid by US consumers. It is currently unclear how the selling price—and the resulting tariffs—would be determined.
