On the evening of June 10, Yiwei LiNeng (300014) issued a number of announcements to increase the capacity layout of lithium batteries:
Capacity project of lithium-ion power storage battery with annual production capacity of 82.5GWh
Yiwei Lithium Energy and its subsidiaries plan to invest in the construction of a new energy power storage battery industrial park with an annual output of 104.5GWh in Jingmen Kuidao District, and introduce the supporting industry of lithium-ion power storage battery according to production demand.
According to the announcement, Yiwei Lithium Energy and its subsidiaries have built an annual 11GWh lithium-ion power storage battery capacity in Jingmen Kuidao District, and are under construction to produce 11GWh Lithium-ion power storage battery capacity. It is proposed to invest in a new project to build an annual 82.5GWh lithium-ion power energy storage battery capacity in Jingmen by stages through its subsidiary registered in Jingmen Kuidao District.
Energy storage battery project with annual production capacity of 10GWh
On the same day, Yiwei LiNeng announced that Hubei Yiwei Power Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Yiwei Power"), a wholly-owned subsidiary, intends to sign a "joint venture agreement" with Lin Yang Energy (601222) to invest in a new joint venture company to invest no more than RMB 3 billion in the construction of an energy storage battery project with an annual production capacity of 10GWh.
The registered capital of the joint venture is RMB100m, of which Yiwei Power has contributed 65 million yuan in currency, accounting for 65% of the shares in the joint venture company, while Lin Yang Energy has contributed 35 million yuan in currency, accounting for 35% of the shares in the joint venture company. According to the progress of the project, both parties will increase the registered capital to 500 million yuan according to their respective shareholding ratio.
Battery Network noted that in September 2020, in order to further develop energy storage business, Linyang Energy and Yiwei Power jointly funded the establishment of Jiangsu Linyang Yiwei Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd., focusing on the design of "3s" integrated and optimized "BMS+PCS+EMS" integration system.
Industrialization Project of High performance Lithium Ion Cylindrical Battery
In addition, at the 31st meeting of the fifth session of the board of directors held on June 10, Yiwei Lithium Energy also examined and passed the "Bill on using the raised funds to increase funds from subsidiaries for the implementation of capital-raising projects." it is agreed that the company will use the raised capital of no more than 610 million yuan to increase capital to the company's subsidiary Jingmen Yiwei Lithium Battery Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Jingmen Chuangneng"). It is used to implement the industrialization project of high-performance lithium-ion cylindrical battery.
According to the company's previous announcement, the construction period of the project is 24 months, and the product of the project is cylindrical ternary lithium-ion battery, which is mainly for the supporting application of power tools. The project plans to invest 3.031 billion yuan, including construction investment of 402 million yuan, equipment investment of 1.965 billion yuan, reserve fee of 118 million yuan and bottom liquidity of 546 million yuan. Among them, 600 million yuan is invested by raising funds, and the rest is invested by self-owned funds and self-raised funds. The procedures for project filing and environmental assessment are being processed.
Yiwei LiNeng said that miniaturization, lightweight and cordless power tools have become the development trend in the future, and the market scale of power tools has grown rapidly in recent years.
According to the "White Paper on the Development of China's Power tools Industry (2021)" jointly released by EVTank, Ivy Economic Research Institute and China Battery Industry Research Institute, the statistics of the white paper show that in 2020, global power tool shipments reached 490 million units, an increase of 5.3% over the same period last year. Lithium electric tools accounted for 90% of cordless power tools in 2020, and global shipments of lithium-ion batteries for power tools reached 2.02 billion, an increase of 19.5% over the same period last year.
Recently, the three parties jointly issued the White Paper on the Development of China's Cylindrical Lithium Ion Battery Industry (2021). In the white paper, high-rate cylindrical lithium-ion battery for power tools is one of its key research fields. According to the statistics of the white paper, the global shipment of high-rate lithium-ion batteries for power tools reached 2.02 billion in 2020, and this figure is expected to reach 4.93 billion in 2025. According to the analysis of the white paper, the increase in shipments of lithium-ion batteries for power tools is mainly due to the increase in the proportion of cordless power tools around the world and the large-scale replacement of lithium batteries for Ni-MH batteries.
The latest research report of CITIC Securities points out that Yiwei lithium power battery business has established the advantages of technology, production capacity and customers through accumulation, and accelerated global matching. At the same time, the company has actively laid out the upstream industrial chain through joint ventures with German Nano and Bertre. Layout of positive materials, continuous efforts in the client with Lin Yang Energy and other enterprises. At the same time, the company's lithium primary battery and consumer lithium-ion battery are in the leading or leading position in the market segment, benefiting from the downstream boom and clear performance growth.
