SMM5 15: may 14, according to foreign media reports, electric car maker Tesla spent the first five months of 2020 developing and leveling 90 hectares of land it bought in Germany for the construction of its first European production facility. The latest developments suggest that Tesla builders are using a series of trains to transport gravel to the site, which will be used to build roads for construction vehicles.
The final phase of land preparations for the Tesla Berlin superplant has been completed and the official opening ceremony of the plant will take place soon. On 20 April, the plant's construction site included three excavators, a wood splitter and a soil separator, which will be involved in the final part of the clean-up work, such as smashing the roots accumulated during the land clearance process.
The project is expected to be completed in July 2021. In recent developments, German politicians assured Tesla that its project would proceed as planned.
