Most of lead-acid battery producers in China has resumed production

Producers that reopened in the previous two weeks (weeks of February 10 and 17) have ramped up to an operating rate of above 50%, as migrant workers returned following the end of self-quarantine.

SHANGHAI, Feb 26 (SMM) – Most of lead-acid battery producers in China have resumed production, according to the survey SMM conducted this week.

 

Producers that reopened in the previous two weeks (weeks of February 10 and 17) have ramped up to an operating rate of above 50%, as migrant workers returned following the end of self-quarantine. Major producers have reached rates of 60-70%.

 

The ramp-up of producers that reopened this week (week of February 24) is expected to continue through early March.
