On Oct. 31, Yabao, a global leader in the specialty chemicals industry, announced that it had formed a joint venture with Mineral Resources Co., Ltd., named MARBL Lithium ("MARBL", under the MRL Camerton Sale and purchase Agreement signed on August 1. (MARBL Lithium ("MARBL").

SMM11, Oct. 31, Arbor, the global leader in the specialty chemicals industry, announced that it has formed a joint venture with Mineral Resources Co., Ltd. MINERAL RESOURCES LIMITED (MRL), under the MRL Camerton Sale and purchase Agreement signed on August 1, to name MARBL Lithium ("MARBL", each accounting for 60 to 40 percent.

Under the agreement, Albemarle has acquired 60 per cent of MRL's Wodgina spodumene. This includes a cash payment of $820 million and the transfer of a 40 per cent interest in two 25 ktpa lithium hydroxide plants built by Albemarle in Kemerton, Western Australia, to MRL. MARBL will manage the operations of the Wodgina mine and the Kemerton plant. Albemarle will sell 100 per cent of the output of the Wodgina mine and the Kemerton lithium hydroxide plant.

At present, the 50 ktpa lithium hydroxide conversion capacity of Kemerton is scheduled to be debugged in stages in the first half of 2021, and the further improvement of lithium hydroxide conversion capacity of the joint venture may depend on market demand.

According to current market conditions, the Wodgina mine will idle spodumene production until market demand supports its resumption of production.

Grand meeting of thousands of people in China's colored metal industry

Shanghai Colored net (SMM) Annual meeting is an annual event of the metal industry, which is attended by thousands of people every year. People from the metal industry at home and abroad gather to review and sum up the experience and harvest of the year, and lay the groundwork for the production, operation and operation of the coming year.

This year's "2019 China Nonferrous Metals Industry Annual meeting and 2020 (SMM) Metal Price Forecast Conference" was jointly created by SMM and China Renewable Resources Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance and Shanghai Nonferrous Metals Industry Association. At the same time, the first "China Renewable Metals Industry chain Development Summit Forum" was held, and SMM metal price forecasting conference and waste battery recycling exchange were set up for you to enjoy. From the development of non-ferrous metal market to the recycling of renewable resources, from the detailed explanation of policies and systems to the research and development of industrial chain technology.

This is not only a meeting, but also a brainstorm for the industry to exchange information and collide with the spark of thinking!
