According to SMM sources, 5-6 silicon metal plants in Xinjiang reduced production for environmental factor, and scale of production cuts is not expected to expand further, as the inspections are coming to an end.

Offers by some large producers for #553 silicon metal were up to 12,400 yuan per tonne, with traded prices rising to around 12,100 yuan per tonne at the port.
