China Lead Concentrate TCs are Flat, SMM Reports

SHANGHAI, May 27 (SMM) - TCs for Chinese 50% lead concentrate were mainly at 1,500-1,700 yuan per tonne (Pb content) in the week ending May 26, and few low prices were reported, SMM says. Offers of imported concentrate (Pb 60%, Ag < 1,000g) were mainly at $40 per dry metric tonne (DMT).

In other news, primary lead smelters reduced domestic lead concentrate purchases on a combination of 2-month production halt and loss-making from high raw material prices. TCs for lead concentrate in Yunnan edged up to 1,600-1,800 yuan per tonne.
