SHANGHAI, Apr. 28 (SMM) –TCs of domestic zinc concentrate (50%) fall 50 yuan to 5,100-5,300 yuan per tonne (zinc content) in May, and those for imported zinc concentrate (50%) drop $5 to $120-140 per dry metric tonne (DMT), according to SMM quotes on April 25.
SMM understands domestic zinc concentrate TCs in Shaanxi, Guangxi and Yunnan were lowered for some zinc smelters due to concentrate tightness.
Losses from imported ore narrowed 100 yuan to 900 yuan per tonne (zinc content) compared with domestic ore this past week, SMM calculates. Trading was poor.
