SHFE Zinc Prices Close with Increases (Dec. 23, 2015)

SHANGHAI, Dec. 23 (SMM) – SHFE 1602 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 12,810/mt Tuesday evening, then consolidated and closed the day at RMB 12,780/mt, down RMB 70/mt. Trading volumes on SHFE 1602 zinc contracts were 135,000 lots, and total positions were up 2,198 to 183,000.

SHFE 1602 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 12,780/mt on Wednesday, then fell to RMB 12,705/mt. In the afternoon, SHFE 1602 zinc stood at RMB 12,900/mt due to rising LME zinc and closed the day at RMB 12,905/mt, up RMB 55/mt. Trading volumes of SHFE 1602 zinc contracts decreased 17,000 to 422,000 lots, with total positions up 2,442 to 184,000.
