ASEAN HRC Steel import prices edge up to $376 a ton on Monday

SINGAPORE (Scrap Register): ASEAN hot rolled cold (HRC) steel import prices (CFR ASEAN port) edged up by 0.3% to $376 a ton on Monday, as per the latest figures released by The Steel Index.

With the rebound in Chinese domestic steel prices, export offers increased last week.

In the developing and emerging world, worldsteel sees increased optimism about India and growth in steel use in some MENA and ASEAN countries.

While these developments will not be enough to counterbalance the deceleration of China, worldsteel expects to see gradually improving growth prospects beyond 2016.
