SMM #1 Refined Nickel Price Drops 2,350 Yuan/MT, Spot Premiums Stable

On June 22, the SMM #1 refined nickel price fell 2,350 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. In terms of spot premiums, the average premium for Jinchuan #1 refined nickel was 1,400 yuan/mt, unchanged from the previous trading day, while the premium range for mainstream brands of electrodeposited nickel in China was -600 to -400 yuan/mt.

MHP payables (against SMM battery-grade nickel sulphate index) are at 86-87, while MHP cobalt payables (against SMM refined cobalt (Rotterdam warehouse)) are at 95. The FOB price of Indonesian high-grade nickel matte stands at $16,474/mt Ni.
