【SMM Steel】Qarmet advances steel expansion with new rolling mill in Kazakhstan

【SMM Steel】Kazakhstan-based steelmaker Qarmet has started active construction of its new long-product rolling mill at the Temirtau site. The facility will have annual capacity exceeding 540,000 tonnes, producing A600 and A1000 high-strength rebar, angle steel, and channel steel. Qarmet said the investment will support technology upgrades, improve efficiency, and expand its portfolio of high-value steel products.
