Few Traders Making Shipments in Market, Premiums Rose Slightly [SMM Ningbo Spot Weekly Review]

[Few Traders Shipping Cargo in the Market, Premiums Edge Higher]: This week, Ningbo spot premiums edged up, with the weekly average price rising 10 yuan/mt WoW. As of Friday, Ningbo spot prices against the 2605 contract were quoted at parity, with a premium of 60 yuan/mt against SHFE, and the premium against SHFE widened during the week.

SMM April 24 Update:

     Ningbo spot premiums edged up this week, with the weekly average price up 10 yuan/mt WoW. As of this Friday, Ningbo spot prices were quoted at parity against the SHFE 2605 contract, with a premium of 60 yuan/mt against Shanghai, and the Shanghai premium widened during the week. Zinc futures prices continued to strengthen this week, but zinc ingot availability in the Ningbo market remained limited. Traders raised their spot offers, while downstream alloy plants were cautious amid high prices and mostly stayed on the sidelines. Actual spot purchases during the week were largely on an as-needed basis, and spot transaction performance was mediocre. Ningbo premiums are expected to remain firm next week.
