【SMM Flash News】Astrindo Secures Gas Supply MoU for Mini LNG Project

Published: Feb 26, 2026 20:09
PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PT Indogas Kriya Dwiguna (IKD) on February 24, 2026. The agreement facilitates gas supply from IKD—which partners with Kangean Energy Indonesia (a subsidiary of Energi Mega Persada)—to Astrindo's indirect subsidiary, PT Para Amartha LNG. This gas will serve as feedstock for Astrindo's Mini LNG Plant, marking a strategic expansion into the liquefied natural gas (LNG) sector. While the one-year MoU has no immediate financial impact, it strengthens Astrindo's energy infrastructure portfolio and operational outlook.

【SMM Flash News】DPR Urges Transparency Over Drastic 2026 Coal Quota Cuts
House of Representatives (DPR) Commission XII member Jalal Abdul Nasir has called on the government to clarify the extreme disparities in the 2026 coal RKAB (Work Plan and Budget) approvals. While acknowledging the government's effort to prevent oversupply and stabilize prices, Jalal highlighted that some miners face cuts as deep as 40–70%, while others remain unaffected. He warned that such extreme reductions could lead to operational shutdowns and mass layoffs if the underlying regulatory basis is not transparently communicated to industry players. This follows reports that the government aims to cap 2026 production at approximately 600 million tons.
