Recently, the high-end 5356 aluminum alloy welding wire—jointly developed by Northeast Light Alloy Co., Ltd. and the Aluminum Corporation of China (Chinalco) Materials Application Research Institute, and led by Chinalco (Zhejiang) Automotive Lightweight Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Chinalco Lightweight") in promotion and validation—has achieved large-scale application in automotive parts manufacturing.

This marks the first application of this high-end welding wire in the automotive sector, signifying a critical breakthrough for Chinalco Group in the independent application of aluminum alloy welding materials.
