Over the past week, seismic activity has been observed in the eastern section of the Kamoa-Kakula copper mine. Ivanhoe Mines stated that all employees have been safely evacuated, with no injuries reported. On May 18, Ivanhoe Mines suspended operations at the underground mine of the Kamoa-Kakula copper mine. The company indicated that seismic activity has significantly decreased in the past 24 hours, and operations may resume soon.
