Tongxing Technology Launches Sodium-Ion Battery Production in Anhui with 200 MWh Annual Capacity

In March 2025, Tongxing Technology officially commenced production at its sodium-ion battery manufacturing project in Anhui, with an annual production capacity of 200 megawatt hours (MWh) for the production line, primarily targeting the distributed energy storage system (ESS) market.

The sodium-ion battery product can maintain a capacity retention rate of over 85% at -20°C, demonstrating strong competitiveness in energy storage applications. In the fourth quarter of 2024, Tongxing Technology had already secured orders for industrial and commercial ESS worth over 120 million yuan, with projects covering industrial parks in Jiangsu and Zhejiang.
