The Lithium Carbonte Spot Prices remain relatively stable on March 26th

The lithium carbonate spot prices remained stable on March 26th, with the SMM battery-grade lithium carbonate index price at 74,204 yuan/mt, a decrease of 34 yuan/mt compared to the previous workday. The battery-grade lithium carbonate price range is currently at 73,200-75,000 yuan/mt, unchanged from the previous workday, while the industrial-grade lithium carbonate price range remains at 71,650-72,650 yuan/mt. Last week, the lithium carbonate price hit a new low, prompting downstream plants to increase purchases for stocking. However, there is no clear trend of continuous price declines this week, leading to a weak purchasing sentiment among downstream plants. On the upstream side, producers are maintaining strong pricing strategies, but their selling willingness is weak. It is important to note that the surplus structure of lithium carbonate is unlikely to change, and ore plants are indicating a potential decline in ore prices, which could impact the cost of lithium carbonate. As such, we anticipate that lithium carbonate prices may have downside potential with fluctuations in the near future, as market dynamics and cost considerations play a significant role in shaping price movements.
