Beijing (Gasgoo)- On December 23, Xiaomi EV announced the release of the 1.4.5 OTA update for its SU7 model, introducing 13 new features and 26 enhancements. A key highlight is the integration of the Vision-Language Model (VLM), which significantly improves the vehicle's ability to interpret complex road environments and special traffic zones.

With VLM, the system can identify construction areas, dimly lit roads, and flooded sections, delivering timely safety alerts via text and voice. It also accurately detects restricted zones such as bus lanes, providing relevant warnings to drivers.

The update brings comprehensive improvements to Xiaomi SU7's intelligent driving capabilities. Enhanced vehicle and pedestrian speed tracking, refined acceleration and braking, and improved red-light detection bolster safety and efficiency. Updates to intersection navigation, bus island cruising, and U-turn handling reduce errors and improve traffic flow.

Additionally, Xiaomi EV's charging map received an upgrade through partnerships with NIO, XPENG, and Li Auto, offering real-time station data such as availability, power, pricing, and parking fees. Advanced filtering options help drivers select stations based on preferences, making recharging more efficient and tailored to user needs.
