Canmax stated on the investor interaction platform that the company focuses on the core demands of battery cell material systems, including high specific energy, high safety, high charge/discharge rate, long lifespan, and low cost. They have developed various new cathode active materials, such as high-voltage LCO, high-nickel ternary, lithium-rich manganese-based, and spinel nickel-manganese materials. These materials are suitable for solid-state and semi-solid-state lithium battery applications.
Among them, the high-voltage LCO and high-nickel ternary products have successfully achieved improvements in energy density and safety performance through innovative precursor design and coating processes. Lithium-rich manganese-based materials are widely recognized as the next-generation cathode materials, offering advantages such as high specific capacity, high operating voltage, and low cost. Spinel nickel-manganese materials, with their excellent power performance and relatively low cost per watt-hour, have become a low-cost cathode material option for next-generation high-energy batteries. Currently, some samples have been sent to customers for validation.
