[Changzhi, Shanxi: Accelerating the Layout of Independent Energy Storage Projects Such as 300MW/600MWh] On August 7, the People's Government of Changzhi, Shanxi Province issued a notice on the "Implementation Plan for Collaborative Innovation Pilots of Pollution Reduction and Carbon Reduction in Changzhi City" (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan"). The Plan points out the acceleration of the construction of a new energy supply and consumption system. It emphasizes the expedited layout of projects including the 30MW flywheel energy storage of Shanxi Dinglun Energy and the 300MW/600MWh independent energy storage project of Lucheng Renhe. The Plan also advocates steadily advancing the three pilot projects for the reform of incremental power distribution business, deeply promoting the integration of wind, solar, hydro, and thermal power storage, as well as source-grid-load-storage integration pilots. These efforts aim to facilitate the development of new productivity in the energy sector, enhance the capacity of new energy supply and consumption, and accelerate the construction of a new-type power system.

India to build a six-month strategic stockpile of lithium, cobalt and rare earths as demand rises
Amid sustained demand growth, India plans to build a strategic reserve of critical minerals including lithium, cobalt, nickel, copper and rare earths. The stockpile will be sized to cover six months of domestic consumption, aiming to guard against risks of global supply disruptions and sharp raw material price volatility. Led by India’s Ministry of Mines and Ministry of Heavy Industries, the reserve covers key raw materials essential for new energy vehicles, energy storage and the electronics sector, fields where India currently relies heavily on imports. At present, the United States, China, South Korea and other countries have already established strategic reserve systems for critical minerals.
