According to a report from the Kechuangban Daily on August 8, TrendForce's latest research shows that the demand for lithium salts was weak in June, and the battery industry mainly relied on inventory digestion, leading to sluggish sales of lithium carbonate. As the oversupply situation is difficult to alleviate in the short term, lithium carbonate prices fell to a new low for the year, dropping from more than 100,000 yuan per ton last month to the 90,000 yuan range. With the continued decline in raw material prices, battery costs have further decreased, and power battery cell prices are expected to continue to fall.
