According to the SMM survey, the capacity utilisation rate of coking enterprises last week was 78.45%, up 0.7 percentage point WoW.
Coke prices increased by 50-55 yuan/mt last week, partially restoring the profits of coking enterprises, allowing those previously operating at a slight loss to break even. Additionally, downstream steel mills’ demand for coke was stable. Therefore, the operating rate of coking enterprises is expected to remain high and stable in the short term.
