Beijing (Gasgoo)- On May 28, FAW’s wholly-owned passenger vehicle band Bestune officially put its new mini electric vehicle model, the Pony, onto the market.

Coming with three trim levels, the 122km-range "Fun Pony" is priced at 26,900 yuan, the 170km-range "Vibrant Pony" at 29,900 yuan, and the 170km-range "Energetic Pony" at 31,900 yuan. The Pony comes in six exterior colors and five interior options, catering to young consumers with diverse choices.

Meeting consumer expectations, the Pony saw large-scale deliveries immediately upon market launch. Through a synchronized event across the nation involving ten major cities and over a hundred dealerships, FAW Bestune delivered more than 1,000 units of the Pony on the same day.

Designed as a practical and comfortable urban commuter, the Pony features a compact 3-meter body, making it easy to navigate and park in crowded urban areas. With a minimum ground clearance of 130mm, it easily handles uneven terrain. The Pony is equipped with standard features including hill-start assist, reverse radar, driver's airbag, remote vehicle control via app, Bluetooth, and an oversized driver's seat, providing excellent value for money.

With low running costs, the Pony offers economical maintenance and easy ownership, consuming just 8.8 kWh per 100 kilometers.

Safety is a key focus for the Pony, featuring a robust structure with ten core rigidity rings and six high-strength steel impact beams, creating a secure cage-like safety body. It has undergone over a hundred rigorous tests, ensuring a "fearless-grade" safe battery. The Pony's IP68-rated waterproofing meets twice the national standard, ensuring it remains leak-proof and fire-resistant even in water.
