【SMM Daily Comment: Lithium Carbonate Prices Fell on May 15】SMM News on May 15: The SMM battery-grade lithium carbonate index was 107,730 yuan/ton, down 1,502 yuan/ton from the previous working day; battery-grade lithium carbonate ranged from 105,000 to 110,500 yuan/ton, with an average price of 107,750 yuan/ton, down 1,500 yuan/ton from the previous working day; industrial-grade lithium carbonate ranged from 103,000 to 105,000 yuan/ton, with an average price of 104,000 yuan/ton, down 2,000 yuan/ton from the previous working day. Today, lithium carbonate prices continued the downward trend of this week. The number of lithium salt production enterprises' scattered orders for shipment is still relatively small, and the quoted price is relatively high. Buyers are slightly more active compared to the early stage, and some downstream cathode material enterprises have bought a small amount of spot goods at lower prices today. However, some downstream enterprises still have no willingness to replenish their inventory of spot goods due to their own sufficient lithium carbonate inventory, increased customer supply, and stable long-term agreements.
