The Listing Price Of China Northern Rare Earth (Group) High-Tech In April Remained Unchanged

Listing price of China Northern Rare Earth (Group) High-Tech for April issued on April 1 was flat with last month, with lanthanum oxide at 4,100 yuan/mt, cerium oxide at 7,600 yuan/mt, Pr-Nd oxide at 365,700 yuan/mt, neodymium oxide at 374,000 yuan/mt, Pr-Nd alloy at 455,000 yuan/mt, and neodymium metal at 465,000 yuan/mt.

As rare earth price rout in early 2024 and chronic rare earth oxide price weakness brought losses, rare earth mines had to mortgage their rare earth ores to obtain financing, reducing the amount of ore available for circulation in the short term. Mines with abundant capital flow will be reluctant to sell at low prices. Therefore, low-priced rare earth ore supply will tighten, giving a big boost to prices.

As of April 5, offers for medium-heavy rare earth shot up. Traded prices of dysprosium oxide and terbium oxide were 1,880 yuan/kg and 5,575 yuan/kg respectively, up 60 yuan/kg and 220 yuan/kg from April 1.
