Sotong Development Teams up with Geely Baikuang to Build 600,000 Tons of Prebaked Anode Carbon Project

Sotong Development recently announced plans to collaborate with Geely Baikuang Group Limited to jointly establish a 600,000-ton annual production prebaked anode carbon project in Tiandong County, Baise City, Guangxi. The project continues Sotong Development's strategy of deepening ties with downstream customers and is expected to expand its market presence in the Southwest region.

According to the announcement, Sotong Development, Geely Baikuang, and Tiandong Baikuang Three Fields Carbon Co., Ltd. have signed an investment terms list to increase investment in Tiandong Baikuang. Following the capital injection, Sotong Development will hold a 66% stake in Tiandong Baikuang, while Geely Baikuang will hold a 34% stake. Specific funding arrangements will be stipulated in subsequent agreements. The project is expected to be completed within a maximum period of 20 months, subject to project financing conditions.
