SMM Analysis: The first batch of electrolytic aluminum production resumption in Yunnan Province is expected to be implemented.

According to the latest research by SMM, the amount of electricity transmitted from outside Yunnan Province has decreased recently, and the province has a surplus of electricity due to good supplementation of wind and solar power. The Yunnan provincial government and related departments are encouraging industrial electricity consumption. After a provincial special meeting, it was decided that 800,000 kilowatts of load power will be released for the resumption of electrolytic aluminum production in the province, equivalent to an annual production capacity of approximately 520,000 tons of electrolytic aluminum.
