Spot zinc premiums in Tianjin slid amid poor trading

In Tianjin, # ingot was mostly traded at 20430~20610 yuan/mt, Zijin zinc 20450~20630 yuan/mt, and Huludao zinc 23930 yuan/mt. In terms of premium/discount, #20 zinc was quoted with discounts of 10-50 yuan/mt over SHFE 2403 contract, and Zijin zinc with premiums of 10 yuan/mt. Prices in Tianjin were 20 yuan/mt lower than Shanghai prices. As of noon, spot discounts of ordinary brand Chihong stood at 10~40 yuan/mt over SHFE March zinc contract, Hongye 20~30 yuan/mt. Discounts were 30 yuan/mt for Xinzi zinc, with not quotes for Bailing and Kazakhstan zinc, and high-priced brand Zijin was offerred with premiums of 10 yuan/mt. Premiums fell again. However, downstream purchases are still weak, and transactions are still relatively lukewarm. #1 zinc ingot prices were 20425~20575 yuan/mt today.
