The average price of battery-grade lithium carbonate was 94,300-99,500 yuan/ton, with an average price of 96,900 yuan/ton, a decrease of 150 yuan/ton compared to the previous working day. The industrial-grade lithium carbonate was priced at 88,000-90,800 yuan/ton, with an average price of 89,400 yuan/ton, a decrease of 100 yuan/ton compared to the previous working day. Due to maintenance or production reduction plans by most lithium salt companies before and after the Spring Festival, the overall supply of lithium salt in the market has decreased. Most lithium salt companies continue to sell scattered orders at higher prices, but a few normally operating lithium salt companies have slightly lowered their prices compared to the high prices before the holiday. Downstream companies, such as cathode manufacturers, have stocked up before the holiday and currently do not have urgent purchasing needs. They are waiting for market prices to fall and for order confirmation before making purchases. Trading companies have reported a basic discount of 2,500-1,000 yuan/ton for the April contract, with a slightly narrower discount range compared to before the holiday. Downstream companies have made a few small purchases concentrated around 94,500-95,000 yuan/ton. Overall, the spot market for lithium carbonate has seen a slight downward shift in transaction prices.
