Scheduled production of HRC to increase in January on better margins and orders while that of rebar will decline due to losses and environmental protection factor

The 39 steel mills in China had planned to produce a total of 14.4678 million mt of HRC in January, up 309,200 mt or 2.2% from actual output in December, according to SMM.

According to the data of 56 sample steel mills in the SMM survey, planned rebar output was 9.67 million mt in January, down 677,100 mt or 6.54% from actual output in December.
