On December 1st, SMM reported that the battery-grade lithium carbonate index was at 128,431 yuan/ton, a decrease of 2135 yuan/ton from the previous working day; the battery-grade lithium carbonate was priced at 12.50-13.50 thousand yuan/ton, with an average price of 13.00 thousand yuan/ton, a decrease of 0.10 thousand yuan/ton from the previous working day; the industrial-grade lithium carbonate was priced at 11.30-12.40 thousand yuan/ton, with an average price of 11.85 thousand yuan/ton, a decrease of 0.20 thousand yuan/ton from the previous working day. On the supply side, some upstream manufacturers have begun to gradually release previous reserve stocks, increasing the circulation of lithium salt in the market. However, current downstream purchasing demand remains weak, leading to a situation of strong supply and weak demand, which continues to exert downward pressure on the market prices."
