The Ministry of Ecology and Environment announced on the 28th the "Notice on Carrying out the Pilot Project of Optimizing the Cross-provincial Transfer Management of Waste Lead-acid Batteries". The notice clearly states that a group of lead recycling enterprises with high environmental management level, advanced technical equipment, complete pollution control facilities, and certain operating scale will be selected as pilot units for the optimization of cross-provincial transfer management of waste lead-acid batteries nationwide. During the pilot period, the cross-provincial transfer of waste lead-acid batteries to the pilot units and the electronic transfer manifest of hazardous waste in the national solid waste management information system will be carried out in accordance with the provincial hazardous waste transfer management regulations."
