World Steel Association: global crude steel production rose slightly in October, with China's production falling 1.8% YoY

According to the World Steel Association, global crude steel production in October 2023 was 150 million mt, a year-on-year increase of 0.6%. China's output was 79.1 million mt, a year-on-year decrease of 1.8%; India 12.1 million mt, up 15.1%; Japan 7.5 million mt, up 2.6%; the US 6.8 million mt, up 3.4%; Russia 6.3 million mt, up 9.5%; South Korea 5.5 million mt, up 6.5%; Germany 2.9 million mt, down 8.8%.
