China And The US Issue Statement On Enhancing Cooperation To Address Climate Crisis, Aiming To Triple Global Renewable Energy Installed Capacity By 2030

On November 15, China and the United States issued a Sunnylands Statement on strengthening cooperation to address the climate crisis, which mentioned: In the critical decade of the 21st century, the two countries support the efforts stated in the G20 Leaders’ Declaration. The global renewable energy installed capacity will triple by 2030, and it is planned to fully accelerate the deployment of renewable energy in the two countries from now to 2030 to accelerate the replacement of kerosene and gas power generation, so that emissions from the power industry can see a meaningful decline after peaking.
