Recently, the No.2 unit of Shouyang Mingtai 2×350MW low-calorific coal-fired power plant designed by China Energy Engineering Group Shanxi Branch has successfully completed 168 hours full-load trial operation and entered the dual-machine commercial operation stage.

The project newly builds two 350MW ultra-supercritical circulating fluidized bed direct air-cooled heating extraction type generating units, synchronously constructs a fully enclosed coal yard and efficient desulfurization, denitrification and dust removal facilities, and the main pollutant emissions meet the ultra-low emission standards of Shanxi Province.

After the project is put into operation, it is expected to generate 3.5 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, 3 million tons of heat and 3 million tons of low-calorific coal per year, which can meet the heating demand of 8 million square meters in Shouyang County.
