Recently, the Gansu Wuwei Smart Green Independent Shared Energy Storage Station Project held a groundbreaking ceremony in Guang Hui Village, Shishui Town, Gulang County, Wuwei City, Gansu Province.

It is reported that the project is jointly invested by China Power Engineering Consulting Group Co., Ltd. and Hebei Jian-tou Zhonghang Saihan Green Energy Technology Development Co., Ltd., and constructed by China Energy Construction Group Gansu Power Design Institute Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 1.22 billion yuan. The project will be constructed in two phases, with two 100MW/400MWh independent shared energy storage stations, mainly using lithium iron phosphate electrochemical storage, and part of vanadium flow storage as demonstration. It is proposed to connect to the opposite side of the grid side 330kV substation through a newly built 330kV booster station.
