On November 6, China Datang obtained the record of the first wind power project in Tibet--the 100,000-kilowatt grid-connected wind power project in Basu County.
It is reported that the project is located in Bandaga Town and Kawabaiqing Township of Basu County, Changdu City, with an installed capacity of 100MW and 20 sets of 5MW wind turbines. After the project is put into operation, it is expected to produce about 236 million kilowatt-hours of green electricity per year, saving 70,000 tons of standard coal and reducing 190,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions. The investment and construction of the project will make great contributions to the clean and low-carbon high-quality development, improvement of environmental quality and improvement of people's living quality in Changdu City.
