Breaking News: An Australian Lithium Mine Looking To Adjust Pricing Of Some Q4 Log-Term Contracts

Currently, talks are underway over Q4 Australian spodumene pricing. We have learned that one Australian mine is looking to M+1 pricing scheme under which spodumene prices will be based on multiple price reporting agencies’ lithium salt prices of the next month. This is in contrast with the settlement model adopted by top-tier lithium mines and downstream buyers that is based on Q-1 (previous quarter) lithium salt prices reported by several price assessment firms.
