Recently, the first set of 300MW-level serialized large-capacity motors independently developed by Shanghai Electric Motor Factory, a subsidiary of Shanghai Electric, held an offline ceremony. The main technical indicators of the product have reached the international advanced level of similar products.

This series of motors will be applied to the 300MW compressed air energy storage demonstration project in Yicheng, Hubei Province, which is the world's first (set) 300MW compressed air energy storage demonstration project under construction. The motor power range covers 20-150MW, voltage level 10-15.75kV, can realize all capacity level energy storage application power drive full coverage, can provide customized services according to different unit capacity and different technical routes. The successful launch of the first set of motors indicates that Shanghai Electric has the ability to provide ultra-large capacity, ultra-high efficiency and ultra-high speed motor solutions to advanced large-scale compressed air energy storage systems.
