SMM survey of operating rates of licensed secondary lead smelters

The operating rates of licensed secondary lead smelters across Jiangsu, Anhui, Henan and Inner Mongolia averaged 46.15% last week, up 1.21 percentage points from a week ago.

Last week, normal fluctuations in the output of several smelters in Anhui led to a slight decrease in the regional operating rates. The output of sample companies in Jiangsu increased slightly. The dismantling of battery scrap at a few secondary lead smelters in Henan recovered, and the regional operating rates climbed slightly.

One small-to-medium-sized smelter in Inner Mongolia resumed production from maintenance, and the output of large-scale smelters increased slightly. One smelter in Anhui which was not in the SMM survey sample conducted maintenance last week. The second-phase project of a smelter in Guizhou gradually increased production. The market shall pay attention to the production resumption of a large-scale smelter in Hebei and production ramp-up at a smelter in Inner Mongolia this week.
