SHANGHAI, Sep 4 (SMM) –In the week ending August 31, demand for nickel sulphate increased. Nickel salt producers adhered to production plans based on long-term orders, keeping stock levels low. The start of the purchase cycle and rising quotations encouraged manufacturers to sustain high prices. Precursor producers had a strong need for stock replenishment, leading to numerous transactions. However, as precursor orders showed no significant growth, the elevated price of nickel sulphate couldn't be passed on to downstream sectors. As a result, the general price coefficient of nickel sulphate stayed around 95%, and the raw material price coefficient remained stable, keeping nickel sulphate prices high. Prices are expected to stay stable in the week ending September 8.
