Weekly Updates On Global Iron Ore Shipments And Iron Ore Arrivals At Chinese Ports

SHANGHAI, May 23 (SMM) – SMM statistics showed that the global iron ore shipments totalled 30.79 million mt last week, an increase of 4.4% week-on-week. The shipments from Australia rose 11% on a weekly basis to 19.11 million mt, of which 15.11 million mt or 79.1% went to China, up 13.3%. The shipments from Brazil fell 2.2% on a weekly basis to 6.46 million mt, of which 1.46 million mt or 22.6% went to China, down 54.4%.

Iron ore arrivals at Chinese ports rose 15.28% on a weekly basis to 22.05 million mt last week.
