More Pig Iron Output Will Be Lost From Blast Furnace Maintenance This Week

SHANGHAI, Apr 19 (SMM) – According to SMM statistics, the amount of pig iron output lost from blast furnace maintenance will add 1,000 mt on a weekly basis to 587,200 mt this week, thus the support to iron ore prices may be diminished. However, the negative impact may be postponed by pre-holiday stocking. Considering that the iron ore market is relatively active, it is expected that iron ore futures prices will fluctuate rangebound in the short term.
