Tianqi Lithium Says Demand for Lithium Metal May Increase If Solid-State Battery Technology Becomes Popular

Tianqi Lithium, one of the top lithium salt suppliers in China, stated on its the investor interaction platform on March 7 that a major development trend of solid-state lithium batteries is to change the existing silicon-carbon negative electrodes to negative electrodes composed entirely of lithium metal so as to increase the energy density of batteries. If this solid-state battery technology becomes popular in the future, the demand for lithium metal may increase.
