GACC: Proportion of Imports and Exports of Chinese Private Enterprises Exceeds 50% in Jan-Feb

According to the statistics of the General Administration of Customs, the import and export of private enterprises in the first two months of 2023 exceeded 50% of the country's total. In the first two months, the import and export of private enterprises amounted to 3.16 trillion yuan, up 5.3%, accounting for 51.2% of the total foreign trade value, up 3 percentage points YoY. Among them, exports were 2.14 trillion yuan, an increase of 6.5%, and imports were 1.02 trillion yuan, an increase of 2.9%. The import and export of state-owned enterprises reached 1.05 trillion yuan, up 5.3%, accounting for 17% of China's total foreign trade. The exports amounted to 288.93 billion yuan, up 11.1%. Imports totalled 759.61 billion yuan, up 3.3%. In the same period, the import and export of foreign-invested enterprises amounted to 1.95 trillion yuan, down 12.2%, accounting for 31.6% of the total foreign trade. Among them, the exports were 1.05 trillion yuan, down 11.1%. Imports totalled 896.21 billion yuan, down 13.4%.
