According to Iranian state television, Mohammad Hadi Ahmadi, an official from the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade of Iran, said recently that a huge lithium deposit was discovered for the first time in Hamadan Province in the west of the country. Ebrahim Ali Molabeigi, an official at Iran's Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade, said investors were ready and the mine would start up within the next two years. Other lithium deposits are expected to be discovered in the province, he said.
