Cost Support for ADC 12 Prices

SHANGHAI, Mar 3 (SMM) - Aluminium scrap supply was tight in the first week of February as the dismantling companies and traders did resumed work. As such, secondary aluminium plants that resumed the production mainly consumed their own stocks and purchased actively after the supply increased since February 5. However, the declining aluminium prices weighed on the shipment of aluminium scrap traders. Therefore, the prices of aluminium scrap were firm. High aluminium scrap prices provided firm support for the prices of ADC12. The prices of above-standard #553 silicon metal rose after falling at the beginning of February and then remained stable, which had little impact on the costs of ADC12.
