Zinc Concentrate TCs under Long-Term Contracts to be $270-300/mt in 2023

SHANGHAI, Mar 1 (SMM) - According to SMM research, the original production capacity of Boliden odda smelter is 200,000 mt, and the newly expanded capacity of 150,000 mt will be put into operation in May 2024 and will reach the full capacity in 2025. At present, the company is self-sufficient in its 55%-60% zinc concentrate, and it mainly purchases raw materials from Europe and the US. A subsequent investigations will be conducted in Mexico. After the expansion, the recovery of precious metals will be increased; at the same time, considering the obvious surplus of zinc concentrate, it is believed that the TCs of long-term orders will be $270-300/mt in 2023.
